What is BlipZones
The Flow Analyzer is designed to analyze free flows within an area, such as a shopping mall, airport terminal etc. The Flow Analyzer is capable of analyzing how visitors flow.
The Flow Analyzer is capable of analyzing time spent and footfall in the Bluetooth zones and the area between the Bluetooth zones.
The Flow Analyzer supports an advanced three view of data, so users may focus on the entire shopping time in an mall or dig into details about where the time is spent area by area.
The Flow Analyzer is designed with emphasis on providing a detailed analysis of an area without covering the area with Bluetooth sensors wall to wall. The Flow Analyzer is capable of providing a detailed area by area analysis with a minimum of Bluetooth sensors. This has been achieved by introducing virtual zones between the Bluetooth sensors, so called “virutal Zones”, see the map above. The blue dots are the areas covered by the sensors, and the green areas are the virtual zones.

Profiling passengers
Knowing how the big mass of passengers moves is good for many cases, but you may get even more information by utilizing the profiling feature.The Profiling feature enables you to compare flow data for different passenger profiles, which can be created on the fly.
Typical profile examples are:
Transportation type: Car, Taxi, Train, Bus
Passenger type: Local dep., Transfer, Arrival Frequent flyer or non-frequent flyer.
And its even possible to combine profiles, to see data for e.g. frequent local departing passengers.
The Profiling feature may also be used to analyze forced and non-forced flows, and reveal to what extend visitors diverts from their direct route from check-in to gate.
The Flow Analyzer provides data 24/7 for 15% of your passengers, which corresponds to flow data for more than 8000 passengers every day, in a airport with 20 mill PAX.
Passenger involvement is not required
BLIP Systems Flow Analyzer Solution is a secure and reliable monitoring 24/7/365.The solution is secure, location-based, easy to install and virtually maintenance-free. Data collection is achieved through a discreet 10 cm x 15 cm box (BlipNode) which registers every passenger with Bluetooth activated and visible.
The process is non-intrusive and requires no active participation or action by passengers. Data, based on the unique Bluetooth ID with no personal identification, is sent directly to a back-end server for processing. Users can create reports and profiles on the fly, and view the results via web based GUI. The solution may be integrated with existing BI solutions via a web service API.
