- Bluetooth-based mobile LBS within a visitor attraction

The Sydney Wildlife World BlueZone network delivers wildlife content and location-based information to the visitors for free via Bluetooth as they walk through the attraction viewing the different exhibits.

Each of the 6 BlueZones offers the visitor downloads relating to the specific animal exhibits. Receiving these rich animal images and interesting facts enhances the patrons experience and educates them about each specific animal while extending the Sydney Wildlife World brand into the hands of the visitor providing a valuable souvenir of their visit to Sydney Wildlife World. Interactions levels have almost tripled during the first year.

The overall average positive interaction rate varied across the first 6 months from 41% to 54%. Even more impressive is the average multiple positive interaction rate of 88-97%.

The Group Marketing Director of Sydney Attractions Group has expressed that they see Bluetooth as a mean to enhancing the experience of the visitor. Leaving the visitor with ringtones of for example the Koalas mating call, animated gifs and so much more.
