The Village Walk is best known for its wide variety of restaurants, bars and coffee shops, most ofHowever, this is now about to change, since it will also be known for the implementation of Bluetooth communications opportunities.
The Village Walk is a large mall in South Africa, which is known for its variety of restaurants, bars and coffee shops with outdoor tables. The Shopping Centre consists of approx. 60 shops and built on 3 levels. Thousands of visitors passes through the mall every day.
WCIT has converted the whole 2nd level of the shopping centre into a Bluetooth Zone. Phase 1 of the project has been launched and consists of BlipZones Proximity Marketing System. Special Messages and competitions are being offered and the Village Walk shopping centre has tied the campaigns to the branding of the Centre (stylish and cutting-edge). Petros Kondos, The Director of WCIT, states that the initial drive is to allow customers to familiarise themselves with Bluetooth communication on a basic level through an incentive for the visitors to turn on their Bluetooth. As the customer confidence and competencies grow, we will implement a number of campaigns to enhance the value of the customer shopping experience, while ensuring that the store owners achieves meaningful results from the truly innovative communication method.
Petros Kondos continues: We are extremely proud to be a BLIP Systems partner, this gives WCIT a definite advantage over new competitor entrants to the South African market.
