What is BlipZones
BLIP Systems BlipTrack™ Server contains several functions and features of a huge advantageous to the decision makers at e.g. airport operations, shopping malls etc.
Access to real time statistical data about visitor movement patterns gives a strong and reliable tool to improve Capacity Management or to optimize operations in general.
The system is capable of tracking Bluetooth phones in the public without any user interaction. Collected data is complete anonymously and cannot be linked to the person. The network is capable of detecting and storing all the movements made by Bluetooth phones at the site in a database.
Bluetooth phones can be tracked on distances up to 30 meters from the access point.
Our system is based on Bluetooth. Penetration of Bluetooth phones is high and the percentage of public discoverable Bluetooth phones is sufficient for statistics. The penetration of public detectable phones has been verified throughout airports installations in Europe to be in the range from 12-16 % by comparing Bluetooth data from our airport installations.
